What is Sweat Equity? To me it is all about Doing It Yourself. There’s the immediate savings in a project by providing the labor. Then there’s the longer term value you add to your home by improving it. Not to mention, I can not stand shoddy work. I have an eye for every little detail and it drives me nuts if it isn’t right – especially if I paid someone to do it.
So the Sweat Equity blog is my chance to showcase some projects and share some things I learned. Maybe you’ll find an idea here you can build on. I encourage you to try to do some projects yourself. With a little time and patience you can do pretty well.
I make my living in the software industry. I’m an avid DIY’er and have tackled just about every type of project imaginable. I started this blog right as I was finishing our basement. It was a big project and I learned a lot.
